Oh for crying out loud

I am a cheery soul really - but  my PC is completely dead - somewhere along the line some cyber vandal thought it would be a good idea to download some virus thingy and me and him indoors can't do anything. I can't work on my website, he can't check the footie scores.

All our precious files had to be backed up into a separate hardrive, the PC wiped clean and - here is the good part - he bought me a Lap Top !!!  .

Telemarketing

I knew it would happen - I have started to recieve telemarketing calls on my mobile regarding my website Put Your Foot In It

The bloke on the phone said i was obviously using a cheap template company and was I making any money from it ?. I was slightly bemused - I have just revamped my site and was feeling very proud of it. He said I should think about Harrods and a backstreet kebab shop - my website is closer to the kebab shop than to Harrods.

Hello and apologies for being away for so long and not posting or contributing. Sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day. As some of you know I run my own retail website selling womens shoes.

But I  have been spending all my time on SEO. (Search Engine Optimization)

It seems to be one of those things that everyone has an opinion on and every SEO expert has a different opinion as to how it should be done - and their way is always the best

I have to say I have had a very frantic week. It is a problem when you have to share a computer at home  with another person -  namely my husband. But it is getting wetter and colder and I need to post new products on to  the site. Boots, Wellies, slippers and some more evening shoes.

The First Focus Group

I invited a group of twenty somethings to a focus group held in my front lounge. I loaded pictures of my latest womens high heel shoes onto a disc and then once they had all settled down with a cold glass of rose' , I proceeded to start the show.

The other day - I was looking through my website - thinking those shoes look gorgeous, that page looks fab - but it's not about me is it ? it's about all those people looking at my site. Do they like my shoes, is my site easy for them to look around , does look it  trustworthy ? do they like the look of my products ?

I have been very busy with my website for the last couple of weeks. So doing things like keeping a blog up to date has sort of taken a back seat. But here I am - and very happy to be here.

My online line shop has loads of new stock in particular evening sandals, high heel boots, Uggy type boots and much more. It is much easier to navigate round it now as I have sectioned it off into colours so if you are a red shoes no knickers type of gal you don't have to trawl through page after page to find what colour you are looking for.

I am very excited - spoke to a new supplier and he has some fastastic womens high heel shoes on offer - As soon as I saw them, I put the pictures and all the details on my website www.highheel-shoes.com. They come in some gorgeous colours and I have ordered a pair for my self - can't wait to try them on.

Online Retailing

I've never written a blog before - six months ago I didn't know what a blog was - so here goes.

I run a retail site called Put Your Foot In It - I sell womens high heel shoes - anyway the company that hosts my website invited me up to their premises to talk about my site and my business plans for the future. They were so helpful and came up with some great ideas for making my website better to look at and getting people to not only go and look but also to buy as well.
