Forget the dragons, have you heard of Angels Den yet?

Angels Den is one of those business ideas where you wonder why it hadn't been done before (which are often also the ones where you think to yourself "darn, why didn't I think of that first?!").

What is it? Well, quite simply, the company brings together business angel investors with entrepreneurs via an easy-to-use website at http://www.angelsden.co.uk

The other day our friends at Angels Den sent through details of an interesting event concept they've come up with - Speedfunding.

Here's how they describe it:

So what is SpeedfundingTM?

Think of it a bit like Speed Dating. You will be given the opportunity to pitch your Business Idea for 3 minutes to one or two Angels at a time. The Angel will then ask you some relevant questions and you can then move straight on to the next Investor. Once you've been round everyone you can follow up with interested Angels at a more leisurely pace.

Angels Den will provide you with a chance to practise your pitch and get feedback beforehand in order to make best use of the time available with each of the Angels. You can read all about their upcoming Speedfunding event here

Sure to be a fun and interesting evening if nothing else. And if I were looking for funding I would certainly be attending!

If you go along, do report back and let me us know how you got on, won't you?
