I never imagined 5 years ago that I would be running my own business, but here I am selling my handmade jewellery both locally around Aylesbury and online through my recently launched website. As is often the case the jewellery started as a hobby and I then plucked up the courage to try and sell a few pieces in a local shop. My mantra is good quality products at affordable prices and above all good customer service! I really believe that customers will return if they feel they have received all of these things.
After many years of office work in customer service roles I felt it was time for change. I actually started out on the road towards a teaching qualification, but decided it was not for me.
So I took a six month break, qualified as a massage therapist at St. Marys College Twickenham and then reevaluated what I really wanted to do. This all happened a couple of years ago and I am now working as a teaching assistant three days a week, building my jewellery business and occasionally visiting my massage clients.
I am always looking for new and unusual materials for my jewellery and I try to refresh the website on a regular basis with new pieces.
I get the most satisfaction from making bespoke pieces, working with clients on a necklace or bracelet for a gift or other special occasion!

As I am a sole trader building my business from home I would like to make contact with other women in the same situation, particularly near Aylesbury. I am at home two days a week to work on the jewellery business and it can feel a little lonely at times as I am naturally a social type. I am also interested in any marketing tips for the website. I am playing with Google Ads at the moment, but I'm keen to try lots of ideas, providing they are cost effective.
