Biography
I am Regional Director for The Athena Network. I purchased a franchise with Athena back in January and have launched my first group in Egham and I am currently working towards launching my second group in Staines.
I decided to purchase a networking franchise after attending several women only networking groups. I found them to be a great experience and didn't just view them as a business generating exercise but also as a support network full of women all struggling to promote themselves and their businesses. I worked completely alone except for contact with my clients and found networking to be the best way to socialise with other women and share ideas and fears. After meeting several Athena members at the various events and realising that they were not only networking for business but also having a great time and creating friendships I decided to investigate becoming a member. I looked at the website and saw the franchise opportunity and even though I had never attended an Athena meeting I could see the benefit I could bring to other women and decided to purchase the franchise and I haven't looked back since.

I started up my Beautytek business in June 2007 and I reached my year milestone today. I sometimes wondered if I would ever get there but with the support of networking found the strength to get through the tough times. My Beautytek business is based in Englefield Green. I started this business because I had problems with my body image and realised that Beautytek could help me with this and that I could also then offer that help to anybody who has body image problems. This treatment means that people do not need to resort to plastic surgery and can receive a pain free relaxing treatment instead.
